BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a digital modeling process that transforms real building information into parametric and data-driven digital models through modeling software. Throughout the full lifecycle of a construction project, stakeholders including the Employer, supervision unit, cost consultant, design team, main contractor, subcontractors, and facility management teams can utilise the BIM model’s capabilities in visualization, coordination, simulation, optimization, and drawing production.

These capabilities enable data and information sharing, unified model maintenance, as well as simulation and analysis across all project stages. BIM allows for early refinement of design deliverables, improved design quality control, early identification and resolution of potential construction issues and errors, and reduction of design changes during later stages.
